“Everybody Knows” but …

“Play it again, Leo”

cohenThose of you who listen to our podcast show know my infatuation with Leonard Cohen; specifically two of his songs: Everybody Knows and the End.  This morning I was quickly surfing the net for some hidden gems (my nightly select news & editorials for you), and came across a Cohen’s Everybody Knows video clip posted at LRC Blog. For those of you who are not familiar with Boiling Frogs Podcast Interviews, and of course its theme song, here it is:

Isn’t it brilliant? Don’t you think it’s timeless? Obviously it is timeless when you consider its applicability then, before then, now, and unfortunately, most likely, in the future; at least the near future. It reminds us cynically, grimly, but so very realistically that: Everybody Knows, but most deny, some look the other way, a few acknowledge, and a very few actually try to do something about it. It is good to be in the company of the ‘so very few;’ my irate minority friends here at Boiling Frogs PostJ

Have a nice weekend to you all,

We may be few but truth and conviction make us mighty. People like you Sibel, inspire us. You help us to aspire to bigger efforts and to persevere.

    Thank you for that.

  2. Who’s the mightiest truth seeker? Among the irate minority, everybody knows! It’s you Sibel. Thanks for the video. It was nice to see the whole piece. Onward!
