Turkey Chooses Russia over NATO in Syria

In this fifteenth edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: RBK, Kommersant, Izvestia, and Komsomolskaya Pravda. He discusses the record gas exports to Europe by the Russian gas giant Gazprom, the Russia-Turkey-Iran relations on the eve of the Syrian conflict resolution negotiations in Astana, the interview of the top Russian diplomat at the UN, Vitaly Churkin, and the Russian reaction to the president-elect Donald Trump’s first press conference. Professor Kovacevic also provides a proof that the CIA, the FBI, and the NSA are reading the Russian tabloid press.

  1. VoiceOfArabi says:

    Hello prof. Filip,

Yet again, another excellent report on the latest from Russia…

However, I must politely disagree with your opinion on Turkey getting closer to Russia and distancing away from NATO.

The reason i say this is based on intelligence reports from the field….

1- New fighters, tanks and supplies have just crossed the boarders of Turkey heading towards Al-Raqqa.
2- Tanks and Military vehicles are being repaired and prepared for battle in Al-Raqqa with spares coming from Turkey.
3- Military exercises and training are currently conducted in Al-Raqqa with the supervision and assistance of Turkish military officers.

No doubt that the Russian satellites are capturing all the above in addition to the intelligence on the ground, so I am sure Russia (Putin) is not buying the big lie that Mr. Erdogan keeps repeating.

There is something happening, but I don’t know what!!
